The Market Board is a good source of Gil, but players must watch out for items being sold for overpriced amounts. Moreover, the price of rare or valuable items can vary between worlds, so checking prices is always a good idea. Dungeons and Guildhests provide an ample amount of Gil, as well as XP. In addition, some enemy drops include equipment that can be sold at the Auction House.

 

Tomestones of Poetics

One of the best ways to make gil in FFXIV is by exchanging Tomestones of Poetics for powerful gear and items. These are rewards for completing dungeons, raids, and guildhests in the Duty Roulette and can be sold to vendors for a decent amount of gil.

Players can exchange their Tomestones for a variety of powerful gear and items from three primary vendors in the game: Auriana in Revenant’s Toll, Mor Dhona (22.7, 6.6) who sells a large selection of poetics weapons and armor; Hismena in Rowena’s Center for Cultural Promotion in Idyllshire (5.7, 5.2); and Enna in Rhalgr’s Reach (13.8, 11.6) who sells a variety of tier 6 equipment for poetics. Additionally, many high-tier crafting materials that used to cost either Topsoils or a Tomestone of Poetics now cost poetics and are a great way to quickly turn in valuable loot.

While the game's economy system can be one of the most profitable ways to make making gil in ffxiv, it is also one of the most complex and requires the player to study item prices on the Market Board to buy low and sell high. This requires a certain amount of experience and investment to master.

FATEs are another easy way to earn gil, especially those in the Endwalker expansion's new zones. These FATEs reward players with a variety of materia and gil for defeating enemies in them. In the open world, dungeons and Guildhests are also good ways to earn gil, as are auctions and raids. Treasure Maps are an excellent way to make gil without the hassle of farming. These dynamic public events deposit random mob drops, crafting materials, crystals, and gil into players’ inventory. However, players must be leveled gatherers to receive these valuable rewards.

Enemies will also drop gil upon being defeated, although this is often in small amounts. Additionally, stealing equipment from enemy corpses will yield insignificant amounts of gil. Thieves can also Mug beastmen and some NMs for a small amount of gil.

Players can also gain a decent amount of gil through exploring Eureka and Bosjan Southern Front, which feel like procedurally generated mini-dungeon instances. They can even find items such as thavnairian onions, which can sell for high prices on the Market Board.

The gil currency in Final Fantasy XIV can be used to purchase equipment and accessories for your character. Getting as much gil as possible can be beneficial in the long run, especially when you need to upgrade your weapons or get some cool gear and mounts. Besides earning gil from completing quests and slaying enemies, you can also earn more by selling items in the Market Board and trading them for new ones. Another way to make gil is by farming clusters of monsters in the new Bozjan Southern Front content introduced with Shadowbringers. These monsters are special and drop a variety of items, including rare heirlooms for each level.

FATEs

During FATEs, players have a chance to earn additional loot that can be sold at the Market Board. Items like raw materials, ore, furniture, concoctions and mounts can sell for a decent amount of Gil depending on the demand. Sending retainers out on Ventures is another way to earn a steady flow of gil. These ventures require a special currency to be used, which can be earned by completing Beast Tribe Quests or Guildleves and buying from the Grand Company vendor. Players can also obtain a good amount of gil by completing quests, guildleves, dungeons and duties on the Duty Finder. Enemies will drop gil after battle, and treasure chests can be found all over the world. Additionally, acquiring certain accessories and weapons can speed up the amount of gil gained by killing enemies.
