Open Hearts Ottawa would like to invite you to a Dinner in Damascus in support of Emad and Lamis Jumaa and their children. Join us as we take you to the City of Jasmine and transport you to a place where the music mingles with the scent of coffee and the laughter of friends.

Authentic Syrian cuisine will be served, created with pride by Yasmin Caterers, a company started by 9 women who recently arrived in Canada. There will be LIVE entertainment that will get you on your feet to do the Dabke.

All proceeds will go toward Open Hearts Ottawa's sponsorship of the Jumaa family. After the Syrian war tore apart their lives, Emad and Lamis escaped the bombing and fled to Lebanon with their four children - Ahmad, Aya, Hala and Ibrahim. As stateless refugees, they cannot work and their children cannot go to school.

Open Hearts Ottawa is committed to bringing them to Canada where there is hope and safety.
