This 2020 has been different in many ways, we have all suffered to a greater or lesser extent the impact of the coronavirus, but the year is already ending and Christmas is just around the corner. For many people these dates are very important to be with the family, but this year Christmas at home will have to be safer than ever to avoid infections.

In today's blog we will see the restrictions in some autonomous communities, so that we are clear about the regulations and we will also give you a few tips to do it in the safest way possible.

What are the restrictions?

The restrictions will be different in each autonomous community, it will depend on the regulations and the number of infections in the area. It is best to consult it for your locality and thus ensure that you are complying with the recommendations.

  • Catalonia: Meetings of a maximum of 10 people are allowed with a maximum of 2 conviviality bubbles. The curfew is extended until 1.30 at night.
  • Madrid: Meetings of up to 10 people and a curfew until 1.30 pm are also allowed.
  • Basque Country: The same restrictions on schedules and mobility are maintained and it is recommended to celebrate Christmas with the convivial bubble.
  • Valencia: The meetings will be limited to 6 people and they have yet to decide how many cohabitating units they will allow.
  • Navarra: The perimeter closure will be maintained, meetings of a maximum of 2 coexisting bubbles and groups of 6-10 people.

The remaining communities have not yet implemented the restrictions, so it is convenient to review it to ensure that we have a safe Christmas at home.

Description: Christmas at home

Tips for celebrating a Christmas at home during COVID19

  1. Put spare disinfectant and masks in the driveway. In this way, as soon as your guests enter they can be disinfected. It is also advisable to have disinfectant on the table so that guests can use it during the meal.
  2. Put sanitizing rugs in the entryway to decontaminate shoes.
  3. Enable as much space as possible , that is, remove all the furniture you can so that there is more space between the seats.
  4. Leave the doors of the dining room open so that it can be ventilated , now it is the cold season so the windows are not a good option during the meal. But, when finished, it is important that you leave a long time to ventilate well with the windows open so that the air is renewed.
  5. Make sure that there is distance between the diners and that you are following the rules of the number of guests and the conviviality bubbles.
  6. For food, avoid shared dishes , everyone should have the food on their plate.
  7. When the meal is finished, disinfect all rooms , ventilate the house and wash all dishes used by diners in hot water or in the dishwasher.
